Tesla Recalls 53,000 Cars Because of Brake Issue

Tesla Inc announced today, April 20th, that they would recall 53,000 of theirs cars, which particularly includes both the Model X and Model S strictly because of a parking brake issue. This was caused, according to (Tech News, 2017), a small gear that could have been manufactured improperly by their third-party supplier may have been contained in the vehicles.

The company also made it clear that it would take less than 45 minutes to replace the brake and also, that less than 5% of the vehicles being recalled would actually be affected by this situation.

Shares of the company was said to be down by nearly 1% at US$302.77 that afternoon.

As stated by (Tech News, 2017), this also happens to be the company's biggest recall in history.  Last year, 2,700 Model X cars where recalled due to a faulty hinge in the third row seat of the car, said Ellon Musk.

Tesla produced 83,922 cars last year only and this included the Model S and Model X alike.
